This limited edition watch was created to pay tribute to Dubai International Financial Centre, a global financial hub in the Middle East and Africa. The exclusive newcomer, named RomainJerome DIFC DNA, celebrates the manufacturer’s partnership with Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons Middle East’s leading retailer for luxury Swiss watches. The watch was revealed last month during the Dubai Watch Week, a global event that celebrates the innovation and craftsmanship in the watch industry.
The Gate Building, which is the DIFC headquarters, was the first building constructed in Dubai's financial free zone. Rolex Day-Date Replica DIFC DNA incorporates original screws from the iconic structure. Rolex Day-Date Replica's new timepiece, based on Skylab, features a stainless steel round case with satin-finished skeletonized straps and polished paws. The 44mm case is adorned with a rusted steel bezel that incorporates donated screws from the iconic Gate Building. The alloy was melted together with watchmaking steel, then rusted and oxidized to achieve a unique effect.
The DIFC-DNA's mechanical movement is the caliber RJ004M, a manual-winding mechanical calibre that has been skeletonized in order to reveal its beauty. The mechanism's 3-layered skeleton is finished in a gray NAC finish. The 21 jewels oscillate at a rapid frequency of 28800 alternations per minute (IWC Replica Watches). It can store enough energy to run the watch for about 2 days (48 hrs).
Purple is also used to accent the movement, as it is the official colour and symbol of Dubai Watch Week. The RJ logo and the small seconds subdial indicators are also lacquered purple. The alligator leather band is also stitched in purple. It secures the watch to the wrist using a steel pin buckle. The exclusive DIFC DNA is designed to offer decent water resistance of up to 30 meters.
